چکیده
In this contribution, we propose a new plasmonic configuration that can be functionalized in two wavelength regimes to generate single interface mode or multiple modes. The structure comprises negative metamaterial Left-Handed Material (LHM) coated on 2S2G-glass prism and adjacent with sensing medium. According the results, thickness affects significantly potential of operate as conventional structured formed by Fabry-Perot cavities. Additionally, we, also show used refractive index sensor defined range 1 1.53 unit (RIU) where full width at half maximum (FWHM) SPR curve characteristic’s manipulation such FWHM p-reflectivity decreases for thick LHM layer. To understand obtained optical response from proposed waveguide was numerically predicted use transfer matrix method (TMM) Fresnel’s theory. addition, potentials designed an modulator interferometer are presented.

Surface plasmon resonance based tapered fiber optic refractive index sensor incorporating an additional high index dielectric layer between metal and sensing medium using wavelength interrogation method is analyzed. The simulation is carried out for gold and silver metals. The simulation predicts, for a given taper ratio, the increase in the sensitivity of the sensor with increase in the thickn...
متن کاملFabrication and Characterization of the Fiber Optical Taper for a Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor
For a fiber optical surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor a short part of its cladding should be removed to coat a thin layer of a metal. Usually this is problematic when an optical fiber with small core diameter is used. In this paper, a new method using µliter droplet of the HF acid for short fiber optical taper fabrication is reported. Using this method in a multi-mode optical fiber w...
متن کاملOptimization of Sensitivity and Stability of Gold/Silver bi-Layer Thin Films Used in Surface Plasmon Resonance Chips
The aim of this study is experimental assay of sensitivity and stability of a bimetallic silver/gold SPR sensor chip. This chip utilizes the sensitivity of the silver and the stability of the gold. Moreover, the Silver layer (instead of usual Cr or Ti layer) was used as an adhesive intermediate layer between the Gold layer and the glass substrate. The optimization of the Gold/Silver thickness u...
متن کاملHigh-sensitivity stark spectroscopy obtained by surface plasmon resonance measurement.
The effect (Stark effect) of an applied electric field on the electronic states of molecular adsorbates was studied by measuring surface plasmon resonance (SPR) as a function of the wavelength of the incident light that excites the SPR. Using the Kramers-Kronig relation, Stark spectra comparable to those obtained with conventional methods were extracted from the electric field-induced SPR angul...
متن کاملGraphene-Based Long-Period Fiber Grating Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor for High-Sensitivity Gas Sensing
A graphene-based long-period fiber grating (LPFG) surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor is proposed. A monolayer of graphene is coated onto the Ag film surface of the LPFG SPR sensor, which increases the intensity of the evanescent field on the surface of the fiber and thereby enhances the interaction between the SPR wave and molecules. Such features significantly improve the sensitivity of th...
